ICBA Visit to Taiwan

At the invitation of AVRDC - the World Vegetable Center and with the support from the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ismahane Elouafi (Director General) and Ms. Fiona Chandler (Director of International Cooperation and Partnerships) visited AVRDC and Taiwan agricultural organizations in May 2013. 

 The visit provided many good opportunities to better understand the excellent research and research facilities in Taiwan and to identify areas for collaboration and strengthening partnerships. In addition to meeting with AVRDC, a member of the AIRCA group, there were fruitful discussions with Tainan District Agricultural Research and Extension Station, the Kaohsiung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station including the Penghu Branch Station of the Kaohsiung DARES, the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of International Affairs at the Council of Agriculture and the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration.
