A recent study by a team of scientists in Uzbekistan gives new insights into the water-energy nexus in lift irrigation schemes in Central Asia and how they could be managed sustainably.
  • Dr. Tarifa Alzaabi, Acting Director General of ICBA, and H.E. Dr. Jamal Al Muhairi, Vice President of the Board of Trustees and Secretary-General of the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance, signed the MoU during a virtual meeting hosted by the foundation on 2 June 2021 in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

ICBA, Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance join hands for capacity development

The International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) and the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work together to enhance scientific research capabilities among students of the foundation, including gifted Emirati youth.
  • The agreement was signed by Dr. Tarifa Alzaabi, Acting Director General of ICBA, and H.E. Yerlan A. Baidaulet, Director General of IOFS, in the presence of Mr. Rauan Zhumabek, Consul General of Kazakhstan in Dubai.

ICBA, IOFS partner to step up food security efforts in OIC member countries

The International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) and the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) - a specialized institution of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) - have agreed to work together to support food security efforts in OIC member countries.

ICBA and IOFS recently inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect at ICBA’s headquarters in Dubai, the UAE.
