Breeding High-yielding, Early-maturing Quinoa Genotypes with Low Saponin Content

Objectives:
Develop quinoa varieties which:

• Are high-yielding (> 4 t/ha)
• Are early-maturing (< 100 days)
• Have low saponin content (< 0.02%)

Enhance stress tolerance to:

• Salinity
• Water shortage
• Heat at the reproductive stage
